Her background

Twenty-three-plus years of getting it right.

Treatment room at Melbourne Acupuncture and Wellness Centre

Acupuncture works on the principle of Qi, the energy that flows through the body's meridians. When that flow is blocked, discomfort follows. Treatment is about clearing the blockage, not masking the symptom.

Farzaneh Ghaffari completed her degree in Chinese Medicine at RMIT University in Melbourne, followed by a full year's clinical internship at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, where she trained directly under practitioners working within the tradition's home system. She went on to gain further clinical experience across China and Europe before establishing her own practice.

Twenty-three-plus years on, she's fully registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and AHPRA, and still runs just the one clinic — Melbourne Acupuncture & Wellness Centre on Leveson Street in North Melbourne — with patients travelling in from right across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Every new patient starts with a thorough consultation, health history and pulse and tongue assessment, so the treatment plan that follows is built around the person in the room, not a standard template.

Registered, regulated and still hands-on with every single patient, twenty-three years in.

Who she treats

Four journeys. One thorough approach.

Fertility and IVF acupuncture support

Patients navigating fertility treatment come in stressed and often physically depleted. Sessions are timed around IVF protocols, with guidance on supplements and lifestyle factors alongside the acupuncture itself.

01
Stress around treatment outcomesLow AMH, cycle timing and appointment stacking take a toll.
02
Feeling like a number in the systemFertility clinics move fast; this is the slow, attentive counterpart.

From patients

In their own words.

Farzaneh is pure magic!!!!! I could not have gotten through the last few weeks of my pregnancy without her and now she's my monthly non negotiable so I can take care of myself, my hormones and my nervous system as a busy mum!
5★Clo Jade
Farzaneh is truly an absolute gem - I only wish I had discovered her sooner. I've visited several acupuncture clinics before, but none have offered the level of personalised and genuine care that Farzaneh provides. After struggling with fertility for the past year, I began regular acupuncture sessions with her, along with supplements she thoughtfully recommended.
5★Christine W.
Highly qualified and professional treatment in a deeply relaxing environment. Farzaneh made the inflammation disappear from my knee, my arm, and my hand. She also fixed my husband's severe back pain. I strongly recommend her acupuncture and wellness centre... It is just amazing!!!
5★Mariella B.
I have been seeing Farzaneh for a year and could not recommend her highly enough. She is nurturing, gentle, kind and a true healer. I can't imagine my life without her. Thank you Farzaneh.
